Iași Becomes the Capital of Urban Sports: BCR Sport Arena Streetball Returns to Iulius Mall

From May 23 to 25, the parking area of Iulius Mall Iași will transform into a true festival of urban sports and outdoor fun, as BCR Sport Arena Streetball—Romania’s most popular 3×3 basketball event—returns for the second consecutive year. After a successful first edition, the event is back in Iași with even more sports, activities, and surprises for the whole family.

The spotlight will be on the 3×3 basketball tournament, part of the national BCR Sport Arena Streetball circuit, alongside the finals of Iulius High Ballers, the competition dedicated to local high school students. In addition to thrilling basketball games, the event area will feature a wide range of sports and recreational activities to encourage community participation and movement.

Sports Zones for All Ages:
Attendees can enjoy specially arranged courts for basketball, football, volleyball, and table tennis, a skateboarding area, a street dance zone, as well as interactive games and challenges for all age groups. Live music, prize contests, and entertainment moments will contribute to the vibe of a true urban festival.

Registrations for the 3×3 basketball tournament opened on Monday and will remain open until Wednesday evening. Teams must consist of at least 3 and no more than 4 players. Competition categories include: Under 10 (mixed), U12, U14, U16, U18, Open (18+), and 35+, both male and female divisions.

High School Finals – Friday, May 23:
The traditional high school basketball competition, Iulius High Ballers, will reach its climax on Friday, May 23, with the finals scheduled for U15 and U19 categories. Students will battle it out for the championship titles in front of classmates and enthusiastic crowds.
